Our Story

mymob.com was first released in November 2002 under various names. Initially the site was set-up so that mobile phone users could communicate with each other and share their passion for mobile phones. Since 2002 we have grown to well over 10,000 members with an average of 100,000 users online every month.

mymob.com was primarily developed for a European audience however over time we have helped users from over 150 countries worldwide. Our philosophy has always been to help other individuals and establish a friendly easy going environment throughout our community forums. We have expanded in many directions over the last couple of years, incorporating reviews of all the latest mobile phones, archives of previous mobile phone models along with real and honest user reviews.

Our Staff

Daedalus

Daedalus (AKA James) (19) – Moderator (UK)

James received his first mobile (a Nokia 1611) in exchange for washing his parent’s friend’s car at the age of 13 and from then on has been fascinated with the latest models and mobile technology available. Since the days of his ‘brick’ phone James has owned 9 different mobiles ranging from basic ‘black and white’ Nokia’s right up to the latest smartphones.James works at the nation-wide reputable mobile phone retailer ‘The Link’ and as a result has access to almost all the current mobile phones available on the market today.

Bunny

Bunny (AKA Sarah) (30ish) - Moderator (UK)

Sarah’s first venture into the mobile phone market was a big pink banana shaped analogue contraption, and even though huge in comparison to todays models it had her hooked on mobiles. Since then she has had a number of different models from dinky nokias to huge '3' pay models.Sarah's thirtysomething but not saying what, lives in Wales and doesn’t work as such as she is the mother to five daughters and a son. Sarah is the only female moderator on the forums and feels that she has made some genuine friends on there.

Nick

Nick (40) - Moderator (UK)

Nick entered the mobile phone world once he realised his Fisher Price phone would not let him make calls to his friends (although he spent quite a while trying). His first real mobile phone was a Nokia 3110i and after many other phones he has finally got a Moto V600.A lorry driver by trade, he spends many hours at the wheel deliveringroofing materials or dozing in laybys around the South of England and in the evenings he keeps a close eye on the forums. 33 and single (but not for much longer he hopes) he is a mine of useful information.
