HI
HOW DO I GO ABOUT UPLOADING RING TONES TO MY T720I VIA DATA CABLE (USB)?
Did you get a CD-Rom with your phone??
If you did, I would download it onto your PC.
Plug the phone into the PC using the USB cable.
Copy the tones to the software.
Follow the software's instructions to get the tones on your phone.
I have had a look on the Motorola website for any advice about this, but there's absolutely jack ****.. and talk about plugging their own tones/pics/etc... ALL CHARGEABLE TOO!!!!!!
***I am assuming that the procedure for doing this is the same as it was for my T100 , however I know that assumption is a dangerous game***

sorry, 'fraid i dont know.
usually it's a case of reading the manual or instructions that came with the equipment, but if it did'nt (and i'd be very suprised if it did'nt) then i don't honestly know.
is it a proper Motorola authorised data cable not some cheap rip off and did it come with some kind of proof of authenticity?
My sister just received a data cable and CD with games, tones, etc. that she ordered from Ebay.
I'll let you know how she gets on....
Hi Karlgixer.
I have spent the last FOUR HOURS trying to get my sister's phone sorted out!!!!!!
I have got the disc set up on the PC, and have installed the USB modem BUT CAN I GET THE BLOODY PC TO RECOGNIZE THE PHONE??????????
NO I BLOODY CAN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I suggest you get back to the guy you bought the software from and get him to tell you how it's supposed to work, cos I BLOODY GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I'm going to bed now...... (and I've got a headache too)
3.10am - have sent an e-mail to the guy asking him to let me know why it won't set up properly. Will let you know what he says, IF he gets back to me...
He did get back to me. :)
Looking at what there was on the disk you have to have Truesync, Palm Pilot and your phone all synchronized together.
No matter how hard I tried I could not suss it out as the instructions on the disk were {B]B*****KS[/B]. I could also not get my PC to connect to my phone even though I had it correctly connected through toe COM port.
The guy agreed with me and sent me this e-mail which he must have received from Motorola..
In order to install you need a driver for your T720. It should be included on the disk but if you still can't do it try the following link
www.motorola.com/mdirect/software/motorola_ss_downloads.htm
It will lead you to the Motorola update website and will upgrade your Truesync software which includes the latest Motorola driver.
So why don't Motorola supply a proper set of instructions on their website?? Of course, so you have to pay to dowload stuff off their site. How silly of me!!!! :D
Hope this info helps you.
