A800 problem

can anyone help me or tell me were im going wrong.ive got an A800 and ive got a downloading data link from my pc and i downloaded the software from the internet for it but when i plug my phone into it ...if the phone is on it start recharging.if its switched off when i plug it in the service light comes on.but the software doesnt reconise that its plugged in and stay's "offline" any suggestions?please reply as it is very fustrating. cheers

Although it shouldn't have an effect, try switching your pc off, then connecting the phone, then switching the pc back on. Although I don't have a link cable for my A800, I've also got a Motorola V525, and have come across this same problem with that, and this solution works for me.

Do you have an original cable. There are a lot of crap cables on the market. Try an original one if you don't have it already

Hi

I have exactly the same problem.

Phone looks like it is charging when the cable is plugged in and the service light on the front of the phone (orange light) comes on if the cable is plugged into it when the phone is switched off.

I have tried easyGPRS, EasyGPS and EasyLINK downloaded direct from samsung and nothing happens I just get the message OFFLINE.

The cable I have is a samsung downloading cable which is a PCB037DBE, I have looked at the spec of this cable and it apparently is the correct cable for ringtones, pictures etc etc.

Can anyone suggest anything please.
