The first batch of X1's delivered to stores in mid-November have turned out to be faulty. about 90% of them had major software bugs, such as the phone locking up, crashing, turning itself off etc. O2 have actually recalled all the X1's, so if you've got one bought before the last week of December (or there abouts) and your having problems then call O2 and tell them you've got one from Batch 1. Even if it has'nt gone wrong yet, I'd advise you call them before it does and they should replace it with ones from Batch 2. Most of the X1's bought from the begining of this year onwards should be ok, but most stores will not notice the different between the two batches (same box, Batch 1 phones were not recalled from stores stock, just customers), so you might still get one.
O2 claim that Batch 2 is clean of bugs etc, but I would'nt hold them to it. No phone should be so bad that the entire first batch are horendusly faulty.
It's your choice, but for anyone who's looking to buy one, I'd say look at the SE T610 (now similar price) or the Nokia 3200 if your desperate :)
