E700 tone woes

Having downloaded several decent ringtones to My Sounds I find that I do not seem able to apply them to caller groups or individuals. Phone will only let me use them as the default ring which seems limiting in the extreme. (Nokia sorted this prob out with new software for the 7210 so caller groups could have downloaded files). Is there anything I can do to use more than 1 downloaded tone??

Also whenever that little Info screen appears an irritating little tune is played. I've turned everything off tone wise and still it plays!!!! Can I stop it? Help - before it drives me insane. Only when it's in quiet mode is it silent!!!!!!

You definitely can't use downloaded tones for caller groups..

And as for the tunes this is what all samsung phones do and you can not turn them off you just have to put up with them i'm afraid..

There is a way, Flash your phone with a firmware that doesnt have the sounds on, or, modify an existing firmware so the sounds aint there then flash your phone :lol:
