Hi,
I have recently joined Virgin mobile UK and I have found their network, tariff and the whole deal to be amazing.
Is there a catch? lol I mean are there any areas of service etc that anyone knows about that suffer with Virgin mobile because I certainly can't find anything to complain about.
Regards,
Simon
Webmaster: great site by the way
Hi. I've used Virgin for 3-4 years mostly using philips savvy handset. No problem with the network or their prices - which I think have stayed tha same (or fallen) in that time. Coverage good (although I'm London based, so may be different elsewhere). Support good. Topping up credit is easy and free voicemail. Depends what you want, of course, but for relatively low useage, I haven't found a better deal.
I was thinking of moving my whole family to Virgin, it sounds like a good deal. Just one question What other phone service providers are Virgin compatible with?
Cheers - Rik

Not sure what you mean.
If you mean which other network can you call from Virgin then the answer would be any.
Yes I must admit I didn’t really explain myself very well, what I was trying to ask is my mobile is currently locked to T-Mobile does anyone know if a Virgin SIM will work with it or will I have to get my phone unlocked?
Cheers - Rik
Not sure. I know that Virgin use the T-Mobile network for their calls, etc.
Best thing to do is try a Virgin sim in it. If it doesn't work, post in the relevant unlocking section on this site and one of the mods will unlock it/try to unlock it for you, you have made enough posts.
i've been on virgin for 3 years now and it was great until i got my new phone. it's an alcatel one touch 735i. it being a picture phone i went to send a picture to someone and it wouldn't let me. i rang up virgin and they told me that it wasn't possible to send pictures at the moment but it should be up in a couple of weeks. it's now been six months and i still can't send photos, pictures or ringtones
oh yeah, virgin mobile sims do work in t-mobile phones
i think if i am correct Virgin have now enabled their GPRS service and their MMS service........you need to ring them to have your sim card enabled.
Just found this.............
Virgin Mobile customers with a new picture messaging phone will be able to use the service automatically, and existing customers with picture messaging phones simply need to get their picture messaging settings from Virgin Mobile by visiting www.virginmobile.com/mobile/services/messaging/ or by calling 789.
