P800 date

Hey my frnd with a P800 complaints that he is having problem wih the date on his P800, he says that it chages without his knowledge. he never chages it, but every now and then hell have e to change it, any ideas on this, y is it chaging...

please help, he is really pissed,...hehehehe

Sounds like the phones a bit ill. Maybe try to reload the firmware or something along those lines.....I

But id really like to know how i can do what u said .... like reloading the firmware................does that mean i ma frnd will have to reset to factory settings......coz im clue less as it never occured to my P800

oh by the ways, is there neway we can increase contrast on the P800, just curious... thanks again,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and anyone helping me put..

You can do a factory reset under the Control Panel for the phone, however be careful not to loose all of your data back it up to a PC.

You can also do a full reset by doing the following:

Format Internal Drive function! (Up * down down * down *)
Up = jog-dial up, Down = jog dial down.

Remember be prepared to loose all data you have added as this will make the phone factory default.

I believe that you can update the firmware without doing a factory reset however I don't know exact details, take a look on the SonyEricsson website for Firmware upgrades they should come with instructions for updating.

hey there kruger

for sometime i thought u were asking me to do the master reset and i did it. yeah i did back up the applications and syncd it to his pc.
with flying colors it did work for 2 days and since it had not repeated or changed its date mostly the year ............ well it always changed the year from time to time ........ u have been a good help dude...thanks a lot........till i have some other thing bugging me , ull be the first that ill let it be shared.....
