Hi from anewB : I can't find any documentation on this bug I'm experiencing. Sorry for the long post in advance.

Here's the problem i'm experiencing w/ my T610 (onT-mob). I compose a new text msg, and hit Continue. The following screen is the Number screen - with the softkey option Lookup. I choose this, and am faced w/ 3 options: Phonebook, SIM entries, and Unsaved. Now I've got 2 numbers on my SIM - one I use 95% of the time. Her names' Lisa, and on the SIM it's stored as Lisa Mobile w/ her number. So I select this, and am returned to the Send Message screen where my softkey options are "Send" and "Recipients" - but somethings off here. Cause the name has changed in the To: field. It's not Lisa Mobile anymore, but has chaned to the Firstname/Lastname format. So I guess the software in the phone has done a lookup from the Phonebook and found the number there under a more complete listing - fine by me.

EXCEPT - whenever I click "Send" from here - the message won't send. It does the whole "Message failed - saved in unsent items" dance.

Hmmm, I think to myself: Is the number wrong on the SIM? no
What happens if i start completely over and type the number in manually, does it work? Yes
What happens if I try the 11 digit num instead of the 10, does it work? No.
What happens if i start over and look up the number from the phonebook, does it work? Yes
What happens if I ask my friend who has a newer software version, does it work the same for him? Yes - still broken.

Now, here's the really funny part. Let's proceed thru the process to the step right after i selected the number from the SIM. The "Send Message" screen is where I choose the other path, and select "Recipients", scroll down to the only recipient, and select "Edit" where it shows me the number. The number's there - so I move on thru the process - Hit OK, Hit Done, and send.

So it appears that when I do the look up from the SIM, the mobile number isn't being handled by the phone in a way that the SMS gateway will accept the message. It's like the number's not coming off the SIM in such a way that the message can be sent.

Finally, here's my question: Is this the phone or the service? Is there a workaround, and has anyone else found this bug yet - please tell me I'm not alone!

Thanks,
