I'm currently with Vodafone and O2....both seem to be OK. I have had many a problem with them both in the past but no more I guess than any others.

Generally they tend to follow each others prices.....yet to try Orange or T-Mobile.....or Virgin

What SP are you guys and girls using, and any feedback that you can add is welcomed.

I use o2.

Not the online o2, but the normal one. I have a 50% off calls and texts bolt-on,

Only problem I sometimes have is they take my monthly charge for the 50% off twice, but they always put it back when I point it out.

Great network coverage compared to T-Mobile, they're pants!!!! They say my area is @excellent network coverage' but can't even get 1 bar on my phone..

I use Virgin

My mom was the first to get mobiles and she chose virgin (dunno why) and has since made us all stay on virgin to keep prices down. I do like the 3p text but my moms the only person I would text who has virgin (and shes easier to text then call caus she yacks on in usual mom fashion). I wish more of my friends were on Virgin, ah well, what ya gonna do.

All three of my numbers are on O2 (thats right, i've got 3 numbers, and I'm only 17 lol)
The reason i've got 3 is because 1 is my first O2 pay and go thats about 3 years old, the second is my one year old contract, and the third is the pay & go sim that came with my 5100. So i keep the first one as a spare (never use it tho), the second one on a regular basis in my 5100, and the third is kept in my old 3210 (on it's last legs, it'll die soon, i swear :) ) which has got £4 free credit left on it since i bought the 5100 :) plus it gave me 25 free MMS's and a month of free WAP usage, great for getting ringtones and logo's :D
I used to be on Vodafone, but since everyone in my family is on O2, it was too expensive (that was when i was using my 1611).
Problem is, i want to get a 3 contract in November (i'll be 18 then so i can get it in my name, and i might get a discount on the tarif :D) which means although it'll cost me next to nothing even if i go over the 500 cross net minutes i'd get (3 calls to other networks are 25p a minute :) ), it'd cost my family too much, 'cause their either on Pay & Go, or old staff tarifs that dont have cross net minutes, but do get cheap line rental :(

Does this mean you now have 4 numbers with your new 3 phone :)

I'm on Orange simply because the majority of the people I call are on Orange and that means cheaper calls. Coverage around my home changes, it can be great and then it can be crap. This really winds up my friends. The only time I didn’t have any signal for a long time was in a far-flung corner of Scotland.

As part of my job I look after a Vodafone account. Because the users are all over the UK and Ireland you soon here which masts are down or which area’s have bad coverage. Vodafone seams to cover more areas than any of the others with O2 coming a close second.

I think I might think twice about recommending Vodafone if you were to go by their customer service alone.

Well Im on Rogers AT & T. And I have one word for them.

PANTS

Expensive and not a good signal and when it comes to 6pm as you get free local calls then - you can't make any call as the SP is to busy!!

The other options I have is Bell and Telus which are the only 2 other GSM networks in Canada. You see GSM is a new thing over here. Even when I call my better half who lives about 30mins away I get charged a long distance call as its out of the Toronto area.

Oh well - it could be worse I guess.

I used to be on Orange's everyday 50, which gave you 50 off peak mins every night for just 50p per day. Since they have discontinued that tariff i have changed to O2's pay as you go with added talk and text bolt on. I have had no probs with coverage and think O2's customer service is excellent.

Forget Orange and Virgin in Oxford its cack,, Signal drop in most place around here..

I switched from Orange to Vodafone, best move I made,, Vodafone works well here, I can go anywhere around oxford without signal loss, m8 of mine is on T-Mobile, he walks into my home and he looses signal completely, quite funny to see him walking around my garden trying to talk on his mobile... :)

i've said it before and i'll say it again.
Virgin is the same as T-Mobile, Virgin uses T-Mobiles masts, which is why both T-Mobile and Virgin are crap in your area.

I use o2, had no probs apart from crap reception in the house!

Why is that when ever I talk to someone about there network you can pretty much guaranty that they will say that they have crap reception in there home!:conf:

bad luck i guess.
it's very hard to tell how reception will be in certain areas. In one place it can be strong and only a couple of miles down the road it could be really poor. I have to stick with o2 because the whole family is on it. However, that will soon change :) I've decided to say "sod 'em" and i'll prolly change networks when I get my contact late November/Mid-December, prolly to Orange if I want the E200.

I've been on Orange for three years. My forst own contract was on BTCellnet, reception was ok.

When I went to Uni, every other bugger was on Orange so it seemed the best option.

Daedalus, I played with the new Motorola at work today (Hutchison) and its is a million times better than the 606/808.

Outstanding!!! Mainly resolution is flawless.

I am on a contract with Vodafone, reception is good everywhere except in my house.
I have to go to the end of my garden and stand on the wall to get a signal !!
Shan't be changing thou as the firm pays for it and all my calls and texts are free, as long as I don't kick the arse out of it.

Cingular in Los Angeles. It's good to see that service is spotty even overseas! The biggest problem I have with GSM is due to poor building penetration.

I've been with Tmobile for a couple years and am quite happy with it right now. In fact they just changed my internet access to unlimited for $2.99 a month. That also includes 300 text messages (but only 30 picture messages). Reception is very good down here in Miami, Fl.

Orange have good coverage now compared to the old days, just as good as 02 and voda but cheaper - stay clear of tmobile/virgin (same thing!) my friend had tmoby and NEVER managed to complete a conversation yet without getting cut off. Not to mention they r pricey for wot u get. Only thing id say is orange customer service sometimes can be 100 amazing and other times is disappointing - i have had experience of the various call centre workers who work for them telling me 3 different things in the space of 10 minutes just because they were making it up and didnt actually know the answer to my question! If you persevere u usually get what you want tho! (threaten to leave!! :to: ) ;)

I use telstra in australia, can safely say they have the best coverage here by far, most other networks use telstras coverage here anyway. Most coverage problems in areas where covergae has been quoted as good is usually a result of the local environment such as hills, trees, buildings, etc

i am on o2 network. 600 min offpeak and 15 min cross network and 50 txt messages.

signal is weak in my area compared to other networks. but the main reason is that O2 calls are free to 0845 and 0870 so i can use this facility on evenings and weekends. i use this facility to make international calls using the calling cards.

I use Vodafone... I wouldn't use anything else. Yeah, okay, they maybe a little more expensive than other networks, but the reception is pretty much flawless everywhere you go.

T-Mobile was the worst network I had been on, as I couldn't get a decent reception in as many areas of the UK as I would have liked.
