Samsung Wristphone

Now that Bill Gates has put them on the agenda with his wrist-mounted SPOT computer, the geek dream of watch-style gadgets that do everything is now fast becoming reality. Samsung's entry in the great wrist race is a dual-band phone, naturally, but one with 256-colour screen, GPRS fast internet connection and a speakerphone as well as voice-activated dialling (so you can save yourself the difficulty of pressing your wrist to your ear). Perhaps less desirably, it also has a range of 40-note polyphonic ringtones. It's even got Bluetooth wireless connection so you can use it with a headset or transfer data to your PC. It's small too, at 38x64x18mm and is promised to offer 1.5hrs talk time (80hrs standby). Perhaps unsurprisingly, its default wallpaper will be a digital chronograph. It's expected the hit the streets by the end of the year.
