mines was a Nokia 1611, which i got for washing a car :)
But it was'nt at a time when all mobiles were that size, everyone else had 5110's, 3210's and Siemens C35's etc.
I sold it this only this time last year after owning it for 4 years. Well, i say sold, i got £50 off my T100 on contract when i traded it in at the Link, which was a great bargin really :) it meant i paid half price for a phone that would still be £99 on contract even now :)
See the link for an idea of what it was like:

Note : this phone was one of the first to have SMS (it was an upgraded version of the 1610 which lacked SMS, a bit like the new 'i' range Nokia add to existing models) and you could even get a revolutionary battery for it that had a solar panel on the pack to charge it in the sun! now thats innovation :)
Mine was the big black ones that were around. I think it was an Ericson or motorola, cant remember. Couple of years ago, let me think, bout 4 years ago? Cant remember!
gosh....it was a really HUGE Mitsubishi one...:(
anyway, i just got back from vacation!
i got a Nokia 3300 :D
OKI (not Nokia--OKI) analog cellular phone. It was like the Motorola brick phones and the calls were often static-filled, but it served it's purpose.
My first mobile was a Siemens C25, then a Nokia 8210 and now I own a T68i and aT600 both from SE. And for the moment I'm waiting fot the the T630 to hit the stores overhere. I'm sure I'll get me one.

I had one of thos Motorola bricks - M301 I think with the flip on the old mercury tariff.
Damn that was a bargain tariff wasn't it !!!!
My first phone was a glossy purple Motorola one. It was fairly annoying as when writing a text message you only had one line to do it on. Also, its ringing tones were like a normal house phone. On the plus side it had free text messages all the time. I think you could also run it off 4 AA batteries but i don't think the lifetime was very lengthy when used this way. It had no games on it and was pretty simple even at the time but it done what it had to do.
my first phone was siemens. i don't remember the model number. it was huge.
Then i got motorola in 1999. it's flip open. supposed to be the smallest phone that time. again i don't remember the model number.
Reception was great. I still have it somewhere in the attic.
Then i shifted to siemens c35i --> Sony j70 --> Sony Ericsson t68 --> Sony Ericsson t610
Somehow i started liking sony models and every year i am changing the mobile to a new sony model.
hi,
alongwith GSM phones i was using one CDMA phone for about an year in India. That's from Reliance network, LG model.
The reason was that the charges are similar to landline calls after 600 free minutes per month with free unlimited SMS and internet connection free for 6 months.
