I have recently bought a Sony Ericsson p900. On trying out various applications like 'Opera' the supplied web browser and 'Virtual Rally' also supplied I repeatedly get the error message 'not enough memory'. As far as I know no other applications are running in the background and there is plenty of space available on both the internal memory ( about 7mb) and the memory card ( about 22mb remaining). Only turning the phone off then back on seems to resolve it. Do you have a fix or any other advice for this - it spoils what is otherwise an excellent phone. Thanks, Steve.

Have the same prob on the 3650. Turning it off sorts it out.

I think it's probably something to do with programs running in the background. I always make sure that I exit them properly.

Also, being a mod on here does your memory too!!!!!

This problem can be resolved with a program called "Switcher", the problem is caused by something that still has not been solved properly on the Symbian OS, when you open an app and the do something ells, say open something ells, the app you opened does not close and some do not even have the option to close them on leaving! With Switcher you can view which programs are running and taking up RAM as apposed to storage space (how much space is available on the phone or memory card is irrelevant) and then close them selectively! I'm still looking for a program that will allow you to close all running programs at the same time, some of the skinks for tracker 3 have this option but its such a fag to use the program itself I gave up!

Hi everyone and thanks for the help. I have downloaded a program from www.symbianware.com called TaskMan. You can close down individual programs or close all down at once and it works like a dream- it costs less than £4 and has made me delighted with my p900 instead of frustrated with it - why is a program like this not installed on the phone when you get it?. Anyway if you want to get it visit the site mentioned above. One other thing - when you come to download it will say its for the p800 but dont worry cos it works exactly the same on both phones.

Here is a copy of Switcher if you don't fancy paying for Task Manager!
