I have recently bought the Nokia 3100 (for only £60 from comet, bargain!) It is a very good phone for it's price, if you are going to pay the full 120 quid though I would advise you in the direction of the Nokia 6100, I actaully adore that phone, same sort of thing as the 3100 except for lighter, better looking and if you use camera adaptor it has better quality.

I heard the sound quality for this phone is really terrible.

How can it be better quality, as they are the same phones albeit in a different housing.

You're right the 6100 is a good phone. I used to have one. But for half the price, I would have had the 3100 if it had been available then.

Have seen pics taken with the attachment on the 6100 and 3100 and TBH no discernable difference.

My daughter has one (bored of it now tho).
Good phone for the price......only complaint is it is quite flimsy compared to some other Nokia's, but as they say you pay for what you get.

As bad as me too then...

Even top of the range phones can feel flimsy and fragile too (3650 feels well fragile). Just cos you pay a fortune doesn't mean its hewn out of granite.

Nokia phones can feel flimsy because of the Xpress on covers. The simple act of taking them off and replacing them again can slightly stretch the covers.

As a conclusion, the Nokia 3100 is a brilliant phone for it's price. I didn't know that the 3100 and 6100 were the same, it's just that a mate of mine has one and when he saw my pictures, he asked why they were such bad quality and said that his came out much better.

The xpress on covers drive me nuts when they get loose......you press the keypad and it sqeaks and moves
