Hy there,can someone please tell me how to connect my nokia 3510 to pc using data cable,when i connect it computer cannot recognise it,should i use some driver or what? please tell me thanks

What's the operating system on your PC?

Did you get a drivers disk with the data cable??

I wouldn't be surprised if the port that you have your data cable plugged into is being used by something else or has been used by something else.

Best bet is to wait for Kruger or Daedalus to come online, one of them should be able to tell you for definite.

Did you get any software with the Data Cable or phone. The cable just provides the physical link but you still need the software which will include the drivers etc.... to connect.

I didnt get any software with the cable,i use win xp,do you know where can i find that software on internet?

Maybe you don't need a drivers disk.

After I got my PC back and having had that MS Blast virus removed I had to reinstall my IR device. All I did was plug in into a USB port and XP recognized it and installed the relevant driver for me. Didn't need my disk.

But I did have a FULL system restore done on it though...

I tried with programs like Oxygen,logomanager,mobile media browser but i couldnt connect it,it said that com port cant open

Sounds like a PC related problem rather than the phone....but I'm not sure...

I know its a pain but it may be worth trying another machine if you can get to one or doing a restore of the OS.....

U know maybe where can i download nokia data suite,its supposed to be program which installs mobile on pc or something like that

Take a look on Kazaa...apart from that you can buy off of Nokia...bit expensive though.

I tried to download nokia data suite,but no good,you can only download nokia data suite 3.0a which requires original nokia data suite on original cd to install, if you know something i would be really greatfull by the way i installed polyphonic ringtone uploader which sends MIDI files to your phone and the program didnt recognised the connection

try downloading a later version of Nokia Data Suite. Although, the latest version is ver.5, which may not work with your phone. But theres no harm in trying.

There isn't any Nokia software for your phone nemesis.

Only thing I can say is to try downloading some ringtones off the mobile internet using WAP.

I will try to post some wapsites and their addresses later on.
