big screen phones

Anyone like or even own a big screen phone?

I dunno about them really. A mate got one recently, a nokia model but I forget which one, and I was playing around with it but it looked like i was speaking into a piece of brick. DId look pretty ridiculous.

I s'pose it depends on what you're going to use it for.

Anyone got opinions?

i've learnt that size means nothing in the mobile world, unless your either vain or picky ;)
I've got an NEC e808 (the larger of the '3' phones) and it's no bigger than a wallet, and most men carry one of them around with them anyway, so what difference is it if you have something of a similar size in the other pocket?
Anyway, the large screen makes everything sooo much easier on the eyes. I'm currently using the NEC and a Nokia 5100 as well, and the 5100's screen is far smaller and makes it impossible for photo's or wallpapers unless you look at it closely. It's ok if the picture is not very detailed, but too much detail and you can work out what it is. The NEC on the other hand makes pictures and photo's perfect. As well as the improved number of colours, the screen size means you can see everything far clearer.
I will admit, i look stupid when calling on it, but the Nokia one your speaking of (either the 7650, 3650 or 9210) is no where near as bad and dont look too bad when using them as a phone (well, maybe the 9210 looks a bit funny, but still).
The screen's size also makes using the phone in general far far easier and much clearer to see and use.

I agree. My trusty old 7110 had a huge screen for its time, but it made viewing texts and wap site much easier, and the size ewas no problem for me. Next came the Siemens SL42e, which was a nightmare, luckily i got to give a Siemens rep an ear bashing over it, then the 6310i I have now. Slightly smaller, but neater font, so you can see the same amount.

I may be getting a P800, so i would say im a big screen lover!
