As the rules clearly state, we also need the network the phone is locked to and in which country the phone was bought.

double check to make sure you gave the right IMEI number, just in case.

sounds like it could already be unlocked, but I'm not totally sure. Try it with sim card from another network. I severly doubt its a problem with the phone tho.

You say the phone is with telstra???
in one of your posts here you say you tried telstra sim and emergency calls only??
You have either give the wrong network or the phone is barred....
What network was the handset used on before you bought it ?

the original user of phone had a telstra sim then someone used an optus pre-paid sim in it, so i assume it would be under a telstra lock on it, the guy who used the optus sim could only make calls for one day then it stopped working for him hence he gave it to me.
also i can get a hold of a motorola t720 that was on optus network in australia is it still possible to get unlock codes for them as i heard that they must be unlocked via cable???
thanks for your help
