Check your IMEI number, the code is correct for that IMEI

I have two codes on the label underneath the battery.
CODE: 0512616
then:
351545/00/270410/3
Type NHL-4JX
are there any other numbers I should have found?
Cheers...
NO, no more numbers...
Right I have checked the code using 3 unlocking programs and they all throw up the same code.
I think (not sure though) that the phone is already unlocked

I'll have a go with a friends' Vodafone SIM card before having another attempt! Thanks for your help :-)
Just try the sim, don't put the code in again
When i had a contract with O2 the phone wasnt locked.....did it come in an O2 box or just a nokia one?
If it was a plain nokia one with no O2 branding which i had i would also agree that its prob already unlocked.

As it generally goes, the O2 stock that we (at The Link) sell are unlocked if sold on a contract/sim free but are 90% locked if bought on pay as you go O2 (by 90% i mean 90% of the models that we stock, so a small amount of them are sometimes unlocked, but their not sold in O2 branded boxes).
Some of the Vodafone stock that we sell (obviously excluding all the ones packaged in Vodafone Live packaging) are also unlocked, but again only on contract.
All T-Mobile and Orange phones, contract or pay as you go are completley locked, and will require a code from here to unlock them.
Virgin Mobile usually lock 'most' of theirs, tho there are some that slip through the net. Again, ones boxed in Virgin Mobile branded boxes will be locked anyway.
