When you enter the code between the two * symbols and then try to enter the last 3 digits before the # it wont let you do it as the number
gets replaced by -
any ideas ?

you need a cable to unlock Samsung phones also.

not all Samsung phones, I've unlocked several E700's with the code alone.
Unfortunatley, I have no ideas as to why its doing that. Which model is it?

The code is not guaranteed to work every time D, as it says in the Samsung unlocking sticky.
You must have been lucky.......

good point, sorry, forgot about the small print :)
Does anyone know how to unlock a Samsung A800?? I have tried the unlocking code but it doesn't let you put in the ** and hash, only numbers....
Any ideas?
just done it on my next door neighbours a800 and had no problems....
take the simcard out and try it.

Hey, I'm having the same problem as one of the above people! I am unable to enter the codes into my samsung E700 as the numbers after the 2nd *star* are getting replaced by - these!
It is coming up like this ... *2767*---#
please HELP!!!!!!
