Thanks for the prompt reply. The code has unblocked the phone- but I can't access it with my orange sim card, (although it was orginally a o2 phone)- is there any code that will let me do that?

Was it working with o2?

I haven't got an o2 sim card to check- but with the orange sim card it comes up saying SIM registration failed and then there is no signal!?

Sounds like your handset has been barred (must be stolen)
if it is it`s useless mate, exspensive paperweight..
Where did you get the phone from?

A friend gave it to me- is there no way of getting round this as the phone seems to work fine, which is wasn't before?
Mel ;-)

I might be inclined to say it might not be barred. When we get a new phone out of our stock at work to show a customer, and we put a brand new sim card in it that has'nt been registered (especailly Orange), it always says 'Sim Registration Failed', like it has done in this case.
Is the Orange sim card registered (i.e. did you phone Orange up when you bought it to get your mobile number, or did you do it online)? If not, do that, and then put it in again.
In the meantime, try it with a different sim card from another network, or even another Orange sim card that's already registered.
