picked up a new A800 on tesco's network today, entered your unlock codes and then put our original O2 sim in it, it asked me for an SP password, now im presuming that is the extra security you mentioned?

Unfortunatly i have this irresistable urge to fiddle with stuff.
Heres the stupid bit, i thought,

"well it says SGH-A800 on the box so i'll try the code you got listed for the SGH-600"

OOOOHHH!!! BIG mistake! phone beeped at me, then just started flashing the lights at me for about 5 seconds, then goes dark and all i can see is an outline around the edge of the screen, this now happens everytime we switch the phone on.

Question is, have i buggered it permanantly or can it be fixed?

Your embarresedly, poppy.
