e700 predictive text - Help!!

I want my phone on the ABC mode permanently - but everytime I go into my text messages it is on the predictive text option. How do I change it aso it always comes up as ABC?

I dont know about Samsungs but on the Nokias you select dictionary while in text message mode and select off.......i should imagine it is something similar to that.

Wait till Azza is on he will tell you as he has the same phone as you.

I text a lot and as a user of predictive text the phone defaults to this. No problem for me but for someone that doesn't use it then it could become a pain as there is no way I can see of defaulting to your favourite means of text entry. The E710 is the opposite, defaults to non predictive text.

So it appears you cant turn this off!!!
dont know if this is correct but i read the same complaint a few times.

It's not what I really wanted to hear - I can't stand the predictive text feature! However, maybe I'm just being lazy - it only takes the press of 2 buttons to turn it off for that message - I'll just have to get into the routine of doing it before I start typing the main text - you wouldn't believe the kind of words I have created so far!!!

p.s. - if anyone does have a solution to this problem, my patience would be really grateful to hear it!

I hate predictive texting too........cant quite belive you cant turn it off tho, maybe Azza knows a way.

When you first enter press and hold the Right Hot Menu button and you will see the A box appear at the bottom of the screen.

I can live with pressing one buton
