can anyone help! i'm trying to download ringtones from my pc to my gx10i. but cant seem to find any software for the job. i have a data cable but thats all.

Was there no CD with the phone??

I just looked on Ebay and the phone should come with a modem CD (like Nokia phones which have a data suite CD-ROM).

You have a choice...

1/ Go to a Vodafone shop and try to blag one (say that you got the phone new but didn't get a CD with it.

2/ Or you could try and get one of these CD-ROM's off of Ebay.

I believe that the GX10 is heavily biased towards Vodafone LIVE!! Maybe they just want you to download stuff off their LIVE!! site :confused: :confused:

i have got the cd but it only allows you to upload / download photo's.

Try and see if you can get hold of one of those CD's that has all the tones and pics on it. There must be a way to get them onto your phone but I'm not sure of the right way to do it, having never used a GX10i.

Maybe one of the other moderators will have the answer.

I'll keep looking about to see if I can find out how it's done for you.

I have been looking at some other websites that have reviews of this phone.

From what I can gather, the software you get with the phone does NOT let you download ringtones (you were right).

Ebay has several CD-ROM's for unlocking the phone but nothing for downloading tones. I have tried to get onto the Sharp support site (www.sharp-mobile.com) as I am sure they will have an answer to the problem but its taking bloody ages for the page to download.

Never fear, Nick is here!! I will keep on hunting for answers!!

***UPDATE***

Got onto the Sharp site but there's nothing on there indicating that tones can be downloaded using a data cable/I-Rda device.

Looks like GPRS only mate.
