Got an O2 payg phone (SE T630)
Sold the sim that came with it, and put my one in.
Cannot send MMS to anyone, getting USER BARRED message
Phoned O2, they told me the sim was MMS enabled and then told me what to do with regards to downloading new settings.
Did EXACTLY as they told me.... still get USER BARRED
Has anyone else had problems with their MMS and how did they sort it???
I am getting very frustrated now..... :mad: :mad: :mad:
Why dont you just change the Sim?
I have an unregistered one if you want it all sealed up.

I have one of them 300 free txt sims if you want it too. and its sealed same as bunnys :) I had same problem at first but downloading the latest settings from O2 worked for me.
Mike, I have downloaded them time and time again.....
Gonna let the O2 shop sort it tomorrow.
you had this prob with the 3650 tho didnt you?
was that the same sim?

I prefer orange to O2, but dont think you can beat O2 for their online tariffs.
At the moment orange is letting you try one service a month free,like 30 free MMS and with that offer you posted from that magazine for that sim card cant be too bad.
I forgot about that.....
Better buy it tomorrow, no will buy 2.
Its only 1 sim per person but theres 2 orange shops in Brighton.
Think I finally have it sorted. The MMS saga should be over now.
I found another O2 PAYG sim under my bed. Called O2 and told them the story about my MMS not working. I asked if they could transfer my credit to the new number. "Not a problem" the guy said. "I am sorry you have had the problems with the MMS, as our records show it has been ongoing for a long time. Normally you would need to activate the new simcard with £10 of credit but as a goodwill gesture I will activate it even though you don't have £10 on your 077 number. And I will also add £2.50 credit to the balance for the inconvenience that has been caused and an additional 10 free MMS to your account" I wasn't expecting that!!!!
O2 have had a slating on forums for their CS but I found the guy to be really helpful.
Now I just have to wait a couple of hours and I should be sorted.
MMS is now working.....
But they say they cannot transfer the old sim's unused free texts and MMS allowance to the new sim cos the sim is registered to someone else and they can't tell me who cos of the Data Protection Act.

What I want to know is who the hell registered ther number. Cos it was a new in-its-pack sim too still in the packaging and unopened too.
Didnt you find it under the bed tho? thought the online sims expired if you didnt register them within a month?
I did indeed - it was one of my free ones that I had left over.
I thought they expired too after a month but the girl at O2 said thats not the case.......
Oh well, I will just use the credit up on it then top it up.
Did you manage to send a MMS to another phone or just to shortcut 6001?
Sent one to my sister - and she got it too!!!!!
I bet data support will call me now and tell me they have sorted the other sim now..... :mad:
well done lol.....more than i managed when i had O2.......could only send to the shortcut.
