how can you tell if a phone is blocked? someone gave me a samsung t100 but when you fire it up it says no network, most of the time. but some times it starts up ok. i unlocked it to any network and with a vodaphone sim in it the vodaphone logo appears but the phone still wont recieve or make any calls.

Try the phone with different simcards. You may find that the phone works with a particular one all the time. But I would guess that some sort of block is on the phone.

Phone Samsung and maybe if you quote the IMEI number (the one under the battery) they can tell you if the phone has been blocked/blacklisted.

no.

but, if you have a record of the IMEI number, go to the police and tell them your phone was stolen, and get it blocked so whoever has stolen it cant ever use it again, and nor can anyone else. Or before that, call the network of your old sim card and get it blocked, so they cant use the sim card either.
