Keys, I have NEVER tried one of these before.......

NCK Recommended Code Is:
31484331

Insert SIM, turn on the phone and enter 2945#*5101#.
Select NETWORK select OFF and enter NCK (code above)

Would be very interested to know if this works....

I did the first bit..i.e. entered the numbers but it did not give me the option to turn the network service off :S. If I go to network it only gives me the option to change the network. So didn't get round to entering the code no. Its a flip up phone so the network automatically comes with the SIM in.
I am probably doing something wrong but I don't know what.......how many times can I try (I mean..if I don't get any further than the first numbers........can i damage the phone? Thanks for you help though xxxxxxxxxxxx Keys

Hmmmm I will try to find out for you.

As I said, I haven't done one of these before. And have not got a clue what the phone looks like or the functions of it....

As for the amount of attempts I really can't tell you. Again, I will try to find out for you.

k....i opened the phone and took out the sim which is a Hi prepay sim card
on the phone besides the IMEI no is a KPN serial no: 307KC-549403-KPN

I have had a look around and have been unable to find any info on why I couldn't unlock your phone.

If it is not allowing you to switch the network off I would guess that your network have disabled this feature. Which leads me to think that only your operator can unlock it for you.

The phone is not available in the UK, only in mainland Europe.

Will still keep my eyes open, but I don't hold out much hope. Sorry :cry:

The really frustrating part of this is that when I bought the phone I asked if it was locked to SIM (In Holland you can buy the phones unlocked direct) the sales person ensured me that it was not locked to SIM. I went home and used it for 3 weeks never checking if it was unlocked or not. I tried another sim in it.....well lots of sims.LOL..I tried everybodies even from the same network and it would not work. Just kept saying insert correct card. I went back to the shop only to be told that my days for returning the phone were over. However if I wait a year I can then apply for the phone to be unlocked for free via the Operater. I paid a lot more for this phone than one I could have bought locked. So you see I am a bit annoyed. BUT I am thankful to you for trying

I did IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok.......that first number you gave me.....you can only use that once a day ( or that is how I see it). When you put that number in it gives you the manufacturer's test setting for the phone. I could not find network.......but I did find reset to manufacturers settings. Then when I turned my phone on my PIN no was still installed but everything else had changed! I then went to settings...........network, disable, select..then scrolled down to SIM LOCK. I selected that then got the option enable/ dissable. I selected disable then put in the NCK mode you gave me and hey presto.........I tried my UK sim in the phone and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have prob gone the wrong way about it but got there thanks to your CORRECT codes.
