Sony Ericsson T610

One of my colleagues got a hold of one of these phones today from the office and I must say I was pretty impressed with the little gadget. The screen looks a decent quality and the ease of use again seems pretty good, however the keys seem a little small for my liking. It seems to come with an array of decent features the tones, java games GPRS etc.... and the camera also seems good quality.

Obviously spending a few moments looking at the phone doesn't make me an expert so I'd be interested to hear from anyone who uses one day in day out for their views.

Had another go on this phone today and its starting to annoy me. The joystick and keys keep on connecting me to the Internet because it comes with Vodafone Live and we can't upgrade the firmware becasue its branded by Vodafone so they won't allow it.

I'm starting to conclude that I wouldn't buy this phone...too fidly...and small althought I still think the screen is decent.

I had a quick look at one in the Vodafone shop the other day....salesman took a pic with it, which didnt turn out very well although it was probably to do with the shops lighting. Was looking on the Orange site and they have dropped the price to £179.99 which i dont think is bad for an in built camrea phone. Would hope the picture quality is better once uploaded to a pc but dont want to spend 35p to send via MMS although i suppose you could buy a IRDA.

Get a Sagem MYX6 camera quality is much much better....and the phones cheaper.....:)

true, but I think the T610 looks that much better. I just love that smooth metal casing (especially in blue) and the generally smaller, more compact design. But I do agree on the Sagem being cheaper and better quality camera.
Both great phones, but if i had the money, i'd go for the SE T610 (well, it's got Bluetooth, another major advantage) :)

I'm holding on for either the SX1, the Nokia 6600 or the new Motorola A835, which appears to be my 'perfect' phone :)

The T610 is a great phone! It's really easy to use and great fun! :)

BUT I can see where Krug3r is coming from with the fidley bit, I'm always connecting to the internet!

Another thing I've had the phone just over 2 months and the Joystick is starting to pack in already! :(

what is the SX1 please. i've ordered my T610 for 13th march so i need to be quick if i want to change it. shall i wait or not?
currently got a sharpGX1 which i love but can't get many games etc for it and i can't connect it to my PC to download photos :-(, i gather that the camera quality is similar.
what shall i do?

I recently bought the MPH-10 mp3 player for my T610 for £20. It also works as a hands free kit! So for £20 it's a bargain!
