Recently switched onto Vodafones online 100 tarrif (got myself a free GX30 to go with it) and have just received my first bill.
I was astonished to find that I had been charged for dial-up WAP calls and also 08705 calls.
I called Voda cs and was told that dial-up Wap calls are not counted as 'inclusive' calls, even though the tarriff on the website states that they are 'voice calls'
I was also told that any 08xx or 09xx numbers are not 'inclusive' even though the 08705 number I called is a standard national rate number.
I'm very unhappy about this as I use these numbers quite regularly, and was expecting them to be in my inclusive allowance.
Does anybody else have experience of this problem, do you think it is worth taking the matter further.
Thanks
Jeff

Dont see how you can take the matter further.........read your contract to find out what you can or cant use for free and also read the small print.

I do not have a written 'contract' as such, everything was done online.
If you look at the tarriff details on the Vodafone website it states that voice calls include 'fixed lines, other vodas, dial-up WAP, voicemail'.
To me, this indicates that national rate numbers (fixed lines) and dial-up WAP should be inclusive.

there are several different types of WAP, and by standard nearly all handsets connect by GPRS (needed for MMS), so you might need to get the settings for normal CSD Dial Up WAP from Vodafone onto your phone in order to not get charged for it, or ask the Voda website what number you have to dial up to in order for them to be included as free WAP minutes.
