How are you finding the services offered by GPRS, does it work out expensive or value for money...I would really like to use a phone as an alternate for web browsing sometimes, like at work when certain sites are blocked but don't really know what sort of costs I'd be looking at so any info anyone has is much appreciated.

I have just bought a o2 pay as you go phone and I have free GPRS acess for a month or so i though, but on looking at the o2 web page it appears to be free until January.
I find GPRS really quick to load, but after the free trial i dont think i would bother subscribing to the service.:)

Hi bunnyone are there any particular reasons that you wouldn't keep GPRS....too expensive....can't do much with it etc.....

Well to be honest since posting the thread saying i dont think i would subscribe i have used it a lot since and have to say i have changed my mind!
Compared to wap i didnt realise how fast it would be and the wealth of infomation on the move is unbelievable!
Downloads are really fast and the connection speed is good.
I think the pricing for GPRS is good compared to the normal wap prices, so after the free period with O2 i am definatly going to keep using it.
I thought using it would drain my battery a fair bit but have to say its pretty good:)
