Help me connect my SGH-N620 to my PC :(

Hi, my step mom has a Samsung V200, so I borrowed her data cable to download some new poly tones to my phone.

I got the appropriate software which is:

Melody Download PCLink SGH-N620/N600 version 1.1

I turned my phone off and hooked the cable to the phone. The service light immediately showed as yellow which is good.

FYI, I have installed many poly tones at shops before so I know my phone works well and has no bugs.


Anyway, I run the program, it scans the COM ports, then when I click connect, the programs says that I need to reconnect my phone , bla bla bla...I tried it many times, no luck.

Also, I noticed that on the Data cable there is a switch:

DATA & D/L

I tried both but got the same results.

What are those? which one shall i use?

And how to get around my problem? Is there some sort of driver I should install? or what?

Is the Samsung cable compatible with your nokia...that could be a starting point.

erm, he's not using a Nokia....

What Nokia dude? :conf: I am talking about connecting a Samsung 620 using the V200s cable. They are both samsung.


MY phone is a NOKIA, but I am not talking about my phone.

Sorry mate all cleared up now its just your post says download to your phone which I assunmed is a Nokia from your profile etc....
