had this this morning........
and it was worded as so......

For security reasons , We have to check your acccount for illegal acctions on our website . We treat online fraud seriously and all cases which cannot be resolved between eBay and the other involved party are forwarded for further investigations to the proper authorities. To speed up this process, you are required to verify your personal information against the eBay account registration data we have on file by following the link below.

When submitting sensitive information via the website , your information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number - ATM PinCode ), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL.

since when hs ebay asked for social security numbers lol??

these people make me mad, how many people do they catch like this?.....they cant even spell either :hammer: :mad: :mad:

i have had a few like that! :(
i reported it to ebay and they send back information on how to spot them! I mean duh i can spot them as i reported it to them, jees

i think asking for your atm pin number is a bit of a giveaway lol..

I bet they still worry lots of people though. If they used a spell checker they may even scam more people.
