Does anyone know what the camera on the Samsung X600 is like? And do companys sometimes use the same camera that another company uses?

the camera in the X600 is near identical to the one used in the E700.
And no, I doubt companies 'share' their camera's, they all differ. And its not just the camera, more often that not its the screen that makes the difference, as thats what reproduces the colours and give you the smoothness and refresh rate as you move the camera around.

Thanks Daedalus! BTW Do all mobiles with camera's come with a cable to connect it to your P.C.? I don't mean a data cable, i mean like the lead that comes with digital camera's.Or is the only way to transfer pictures via email?
I dont think any of the camera phones come with the cables to download pics.
You can transfer them by MMS, bluetooth or Infra red......depending which your phone has.

Some, and only some mind, do come with a data cable (thats the same thing as what your thinking of ibyellow) that allows you to connect the phone to your PC and download the pictures from it. The ones that come to mind are the Nokia 7600, the Moto A835 and most of the other '3' phones.
But for the others, its far easier to just get a bluetooth or infrared adapter for your PC and do it that way.
Ooops sorry.i stand corrected lol.

Looks Like its the infrared adapter then. Cos i cant figure out how to do the email thing. Just keeps comin up failed to send, well something like that anyway. Shame cos the pics look good on the phone. But as i've seen on the forum there's big differences when it gets to a PC. Thanks everyone for your input :-)
To send via MMS you need firstly to get your sim card MMS enabled........this is not the same as GPRS...........just phone your service provider up and they will MMS enable your sim.
Hope this helps.

I have my MMS enabled and can send and recieve pics to and from other phones, but no luck yet sending it to my own email. I'm wondering if its because i'm on pay as you go on O2? Me thinks its gonna be a long night reading the instructions... Again and again and again.
When i had my 3200 (took it back cos it was dire) I was on O2 pay and go and i could also like you send to other phones or the O2 shortcut (cant remember number)
but i could not for the life of me send pics to my own email addy!!
Dont know if its something with the network......but i have had no probs with sending pics to email addys with Vodafone.

I think its o2, because not all networks will let you do it. Best e-mail them and they'll be able to give you a straight answer. Could also be the phone, as not all phones are capable of e-mailing anything, in fact Samsung's very very rarely do that, only MMS and SMS. Thats their problem, their good when it comes to media stuff like decent screens, cameras and ringtones (although still no hifi/mp3 ringtones in any of their phones), but they seem incapable of putting any useful advanced features in their phones, such as Bluetooth, E-mail clients or mp3 players.
Its deffo o2... I still get 'user barred' even after o2 say my sim has been enabled (requested this dozens of times)......
