T610 vs 7250i?

My a300 has now given up and will only send messages so ive decided its time to replace it with a contract phone

Which of the 2 listed would you say was the best?

not long, couple of days, standard delivery really, unless you need to fill out the contract by post, then they'll make it take even longer

I have just been through this execise for myself. The T610 has got two problems. First the screen cannot be seen outside if its sunny (doesnot apply to UK) and also the reception is an improvement over T68 models, but is still way under the Nokia models.

The best deals I could find are

T610 at the Link shop (not online) Phone free and then a High speed data (HSD) rate of £10 per month on Orange. No inclusive calls or sms.

7250i www.carphonewarehouse.co.uk Free on the £20.99 a month Leisure off peak plus. Including 500 off peak , 25 x net off peak and 100 SMS a month. I believe o2 online are doing a slightly better deal online, but I cannot find the details.

I went for the 7250i because I had terrible trouble with reception on my old T68. So far I am happy with the phone and its a dependable phone.

hmm thinking of going for the 7250i after reading some reviews on the net and after a few guys told me they broke easily and since i usually keep my phone in my back pocket thats a fairly big problem especially when im sat down.

Plus i go to spain quite often and need my phone there so would need to see it in sunlight aswell

I have to agree with the majority the T610 in my opinion is too fidly, nice at first impressions but you will get pissed off with it...

my brother was using T610 now.. but he does not like it very much because of the reception. I am using the 7250i.. which is very good.. Nokia's phone give me full of confidence. i bought it one month ago from www.plemix.com price is reasonable and shipping is super fast...

i would suggest to take the 7250i instead of T610

OK, for a start, the T610's screen is far superior, not just on paper but in tests. Plus, they BOTH use STN screens, meaning the Nokia will be just as bad in the sun. And secondly, any phone will break if it's in your back pocket and you sit on it, i mean who would actually be that daft for gods sake?
Put it this way, if you want a decent phone that is easy to use and you wont struggle to see pictures with (the 7250i's screen in tiny in comparison) then go with the T610. If you want a phone that you'll regret owning, buy a 7250i, but you have been warned.
If you dont believe me, go into your nearest phone shop and ask to look at both phones, side by side, and have a play with both of them. The biggest piece of advice I can give you is try before you buy and make up your own mind, not the views of other people.

oh, and by the way, both my manger and deputy manager have this phone, and they both live in areas with average to weak reception, and both of them had T68i's before that, and NEITHER of them have ever said anything bad about the reception on the T610. Just thought you might need to know that too....

I had a chance of circumstance and want to cut back a little on my out goings.

T610 is the half the money rate of the 7250i for me (without any free minutes however in with T610, but I dont spend £120 on calls a year!). and also I got p*ssed of with the 7250i making creaking noises when I touch the back of the phone as the covers a poor fit. So I got the offer in the Link today and am going to return my 7250i.

I am now comparing phones side by side.

So far I am mega impressed with the T610. I had a quick go in the shop when they first came out and forgot how good they actually are. The camera is far superior over the Nokia. The Screen is bigger and brighter. The build quality is far better and the handset is smaller. The handset is slightly heavier.

The ringtones on T610 are better.

The Reception on the t610 doesnot look as good. But its never lost the signal and even with one bar it still makes and holds a call well.

Can I change my mind.....and say the T610 gets 8/10 and the Nokia gets a 5/10. If you are moving up from a black and white screen model, the 7250i will more than likely impress you like it did me. If you have had a 7210 6100 6610 then there nothing different except a poor camera and you will be disappointed.

Its down to your opinion...as the other person said....test them side by side in a shop.

well i went for the nokia

i had a play with my mates today and i really liked it and i didnt like the joystick on the t68i very much and my old one of those broke so nokia was favourite
