Orange Text Saver

Orange have re-called them all and stopped producing them, we had all ours taken by Orange a couple of months ago.

Grrrrr. Any ideas why? Looks like ill need a nu fone again, i want a decent txt fone, but my fone is locked to Orange. i'll go for 02 next.

thats a bit strange, my txt saver is still working. pretty crap they have stopped it now though! btw, i was in denmark at the wkend and my free txt's still worked through txt saver, how cool is that! well not really i guess!

my daughter signed up to orange about 7 years ago and got a thing called "Orange Out Here" - for a one off charge of twenty quid at the time she is still sending five free texts a day (on a new phone now but with the same old sim card. Daughter number two got her phone more recently and has to pay twenty quid each year to get her five "free" messages.

I also remember when it was called "orange out there" i had it a few years back. about a week before it expired i got a txt reminding me and eventually it did. i then went out and bought txt saver and got it free the following year when i upgraded.

so let me get this straight, has orange actually stopped txt saver?

They stopped SELLING them, thats why I said they've recalled them.

If you've got one, IT WILL STILL WORK as long as you want.

They are still about on eBay.

Not as plentiful as they used to be though.

D, why did they stop them? It was their equivalent of the O2 300 free text sims wasn't it?

Pretty much. Except with this one (I've still got mine on my pay as you go actually...) you don't have a minimum top up each month, and you get 1825/year which is 5/day.

No idea why they stopped them. Rumours they were going to replace them, but never did. Then again, they were doing free weekend texts for new pay as you go customers were'nt they?

Orange Out Here was the old equivalent of the recent Text Saver, this worked exactly the same as Text Saver but gives you your free text messages for life, Orange stopped this pack ages ago but if you still have one it should work fine, Orange are good for honouring both these and text savers. I bought an Orange Out Here pack for 35 pounds off ebay and I have put in on my Orange sim that I had, I don't use it as I only use my O2 Genie sim mainly, If anyone wants the sim with the Out Here on it (I will supply the full Out Here box so you know its all in order) I will take 25 pounds for it

Orange Text Saver was the replacement to Out Here when they realised how much of a bargain Out Here was. This was recently withdrawn by Orange but they are still working fine, you can pick these up for about 30 pounds now (the rrp was only 19.99 at the time, but now both packs are much sought after) but remember your texts will only last for the year with this pack

So if anyone wants my Orange sim with Out Here Pack you can have it for 25 quid, Or I can sell you a brand new O2 Genie sim for a fiver ? upto u ;)

hmm, when i bought my 1st txt saver package it was definately in the days of orange our here. i still remember being a dick and going into the orange shop and asking for orange out there! the salesman was quite amused. when i bought that package it was definately for only a year. i can remember the day perfectly, i just got a new credit card that day and decided to max it out within a few hours. im still payin that fuker off to date, how sad am i! little lesson for u now, never get a credit card, just take a loan from a loan shark, try to rip him off and see what the consequences are, im sure it would be better than having to hand over your cash!

Out Here was a replacement to text saver, obviously Out Here would have been still around at the time with people using it, as both packs are now, but as you know you couldn't have bought an Out Here pack from a retailer after the Text Savers had come in

i found the orange Text saver not to be very good. Orange in general i find really rubbish. and there customer services make me laugh.
