has anyone who travels a lot between UK and Ireland tried exchanging a UK Sim for an Irish Sim in their phone to get round excessive roaming charges. I know it'd be messy having two different numbers depending on where you are but I reckon there could be quite a saving?
Thank your lucky stars you don't live very close to the border of Northern Ireland/Southern Ireland.
Have heard stories like this.. a person is on O2 UK in NI and their phone latches on to O2 IE (same company, different country).

Hi, not sure if you have sorted your sim problem, but here goes. I live on the North/South border and as a result in some parts of my house I have O2 UK coverage and in others only ROI coverage. The only way to get round roaming charges is for me to have 2 phones with a message on the voicemail of each giving the other number. Just for information Meteor in ROI is by far the cheapest and they have signed a roaming agreement in ROI so they now have national coverage (ROI). Hope this helps.
