I am trying to help out a lady who recently wrote to me regarding the below enquiry. If anyone has any ideas feel free to leave them :)

I saw an ad in a magazine about a mobile phone especially for children age 6 - 8 years old. I would like to buy one of these for my son, do you know where I could buy one from.

Thanks for your reply Jason - I seem to have come to a dead end with this one. I wanted to get my son a phone of some kind, this may seem a bit extreme for a 7 year old but he has just been diagnosed as a diabetic and I want us both to have some peace of mind while he is out playing with his friends. Can you recommend a cheap and very basic mobile phone?

I like the design, they look well smart. Easy to use and simple to understand. Maybe I should get one.

I like the idea that there is a limit imposed on the phone numbers available, and theres very little to mess around with. Even 7 year olds nowadays seem know their way around a mobile phone quite easily.

And another thing that's good about it is that for a fiver a month you can track the children too.

Money well spent.

I think for nearly £60 you can do a lot better for children, the nokia 3100 for example is only a couple of pounds more expensive, plus it looks like a mobile and not like a toy, something that people dont want to be encouraging.......kids thinking mobiles are toys.
