SE K700i - how many attempts before phone is locked?

Orange have finally written to me with the unlock code for my K700i.

Trouble is, it's not working.

I have tried it twice now and am worried that if I try it again and it doesn't work I will be locked out of the phone ....

Has anyone got any idea of the number of attempts I get?

Is this the unlocking code for the phone or the network restriction.

If its phone attempts its usually 3 then you need a PUK code from the operator.

If its a phone unlock in the sense of allow any network use, then 5 is the max then its on to cable after that.
