Put a simcard in the phone (not the same network that it is already on, in your case NOT A VIRGIN SIMCARD)

Enter this code...**00032*09330711#
Then this code...**00012*09130511#

Then turn the phone off then on.

Should be unlocked now.

I put in another simcard (like you said) and when I switched it on it said: "insert sim" on the screen. When I typed in the above codes it said "invalid password" after each completed code.

I switched it off and then put it on again anyway to see if it might have unlocked; but it still said "mep lock failed" and "insert sim."

My phone is a EB-G50 (written behind battery) not just a G50 if that makes a difference.

How many times can you type in the wrong code before the phone "locks" for good?

Is it different if you are unlocking your phone from abroad? I am in W. Europe.

You have probably got one of the newer Panasonic G50's then.

Try it with the sim NOT in the phone. I remember reading somewhere that this works.

If it doesn't, then I think you will have to get it done by someone with a cable/unlocking box.
