Nokia 6230 not playing mp3s as ringtones

Does anyone know what the probelm could be as I have a Nok 6230 and it has worked fine until recently when someone rings me and my fone freezes or it won't play the set ringtone apart from nokia tune?

Any ideas?

sounds like you have a software issue with the phone freezing on you.......could you have added the nokia ringtune to your groups without realising or have you not set the ringtune as i know that the nokia one is the default one?

if the phone is still under warranty you will have to take it back to where you bought it from so they can send it away for a free repair.

yeah its very annoying but i think its under warrenty. Yeah I checked everything. I get even more problems like that. When using bluetooth its freezes and when I try and play music it says there arent any music files on there but I have over 80mb of them stored !
