3100:low Contrast

Hi, I own a Nokia 3100 whih appears to be low contrast. the menu britness has to be kept at min,else the screen looks washed out.Anyone had similar prob & any solution.Cheers Dave

I forgot to note that phone is new, but bought on ebay & i am considering returning it.

Doing a reset might cure the problem, but just make sure you have uyour phone numbers on your sim and not in the phone memory or they may be lost (MENU-SETTINGS-RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS)

And don't forget, the 3100 has a pretty old/poor screen compared to some others, so it may look very washed out and the like when compared to others.

I had a nokia 3100 and in comparison to the other Nokias they do look washed out, the preloaded graphics are really poor i thought.

I am using one at the moment while my E1000 is away for repairs....

Compared to the screen on that, the 3100 might as well be black and white, but considering its only 4096 colours it's passable. Don't forget it's only a small screen.

the graphics themselves look faded or washed out.....the phone has the sort of skateboarding themes and wallpapers on designed to appeal to the 'younger' market me thinks.
