Nokia 3200

I have been given the above phone without a SIM card. It is a Pay as you Go phone on O2. I have put my existing O2 SIM card in it and switched it on. The following message appears "Phone restricted". On pressing the Undo button the message is "Enter restriction code". I don't have a manual so don't know what to do. Can anyone help please.
IMEI 352942009590164 is written on the box. Phone to be used in UK.

You can get the Nokia manual fronm the Nokia website in .PDF format (requires Acrobat Reader to read it with).

Normal default codes are 12345 on Nokias, but if you are putting a sim in from the same network it normally accepts it straightaway (exception being Voda...) maybe it wasn't originally on O2.

Thanks Nick. I shall get on that website for the manual. I tried the 12345 code (without the SIM card in) and it wouldn't accept it. Any other suggestions? If it wasn't originally on O2 is there a way of determining which it was on?

Short of trying lots of different simcards no.....

I don't think the phone was ever released on Orange though, so that might rule one out.

And you would need the sim IN to enter the code.....
