2. since insstalling the software i have have had an icon appear in my system tray in the shape of two little monitors with a red cross at the bottom right hand side of them when i hover my mouse over them it says"bluetooth network a network cable is unplugged" but the only bluetooth device i have connected is fine, i'm puzzled what this error message is any help in any of the above matters is greatly apprecited as i have phoned belkin support several times holding for great lenghts only to be cut off thanks.

Ok, answer to 1 is right click on the ringtone you want to send, find where it says 'send to' and follow it from there until it finds your phone or the option to search for a device.

and 2. thats just because your phone can support wireless modem functions, which means you could use your phone to dial up to the internet if you wanted. If it does'nt bother you it being there then leave it, it won't cause any harm.

the easiest way i find to transfer a ringtone is to open up the software which came with the device and on the left hand side is a menu structure, a bit like internet explorer, and all i do is simply drag and drop the tone from the folder its stored in on my hard drive to the folder on the phone.

I've now sorted how to get the ringtones to my mobile but when it asks me to put it in a specific folder i try to save it in the tones folder but for soe strange reason when i look in there the tone is not there i know it has came across to the phone because i listened to it any advice on this i would be grateful.

what type of file are you trying to transfer? what do you mean you listened to it? are you sure you havent put it in the music folder?

Might be on the memory card.

I know that on my Moto all files that I transfer over go to the memory card by default.

the file type is a midi file i've looked all thru my phone dont know where it is i've got a feeling my phone might not support this file type so it wont let you save it but it lets you listen to it could my thinking be right it's only a stab in the dark.

The 6230 plays MIDI tones, so it must be on your phone somewhere.

Have you looked in the 'Gallery' menu? It may even have saved to one of the other folders in there.
