Crazy frog bids for chart success

The Crazy Frog mobile phone ringtone is to be released as a pop single.

Loved and hated in equal measure, it has nevertheless been a massive hit across the UK.

The ringtone has been downloaded a million times and now a group of producers, who have formed the group "Pondlife", are hoping for a chart hit.

The tune features the voice of a crazy frog imitating the sound of a motorbike starting.

It is promoted by an animated frog - naked except for a motorcycle helmet, goggles and crazed expression.

"You either love it or hate it - there's no in between," said DJ and producer Wes Butters.

Dont somehow think that i will be buying it :)

The group are called 'Pondlife'?? Hmmm, sounds about right.

But I am sure that people in their droves will be buying it - mad!!!!!!!!!

I think we should name it 'offical chav ringtone' seeing as the only people daft enough to still have it on their phone tend to be chavs ;)

This is one of those songs that people will call up to request that they DON'T play it...
