I am with 3 and have the half price line rental tariff for a year, however i have started to get funny phone calls....and not the wrong number type either, i think i know who it is but i cant prove it.
As i am on this particular tariff if i changed my phone number with 3 would they then start charging me the full line rental amount as i have already had the cash back?

As you have had the cashback are you paying the full monthly rental now????

I shouldn't think they can make you give them the money back, as the cashback would have been arranged through CPW and not 3. So you should be OK there.


Might be something on the 3 site, if not I would give them a call and tell them you are getting funny calls. They may offer to change your number for you there and then. They did agree to swap over my phone, so a number should be no problem to them.

Was curious about that cos mine is due next month and in month 6 I am downgrading the tariff from VT500 to VT100 (the £15 a month one).

Come on D - put us out our misery...what would happen in our cases? Does the caskback have to 'go back'?

Bunny, I can't see anything on the 3 site, so maybe an email to them (use MY3 on your PC - they can't charge you for that). They are very quick at replying too, quicker than O2.

I found this on the CPW site where they are doing the moto E1000 for 11 months half price line rental and here are the terms and conditions which are the same as mine.......would think twice about downgrading your tariff nick........

This offer is subject to credit status and connection to a 12 month agreement to 3.

The tariff and additional bundle options selected may not be changed after connection.

The 12 months half price line rental offer is only available on the Talk + Text 600 tariff, with line rental of £30 per month.

The half price line rental offer will be made invalid if you change your tariff.

The first 3 months of half price line rental (£45) is free from the network and will be credited to your bill.

I was getting calls from Kitchens direct and other calls of that nature. As I hadn't disclosed my number to anyone they must have so they couldn't really refuse.

Any network worth their salt would issue a new number if you are getting unwanted nuisance calls. Mail them and lay it on a bit thick as well.

The half price line rental offer will be made invalid if you change your tariff.

I honestly have'nt got a clue bunny, best check with CPW themselves for the ins and outs rather than just 3, seeing as the cashback has nothing to do with them anyway.
