View Full Version : Filehosting
I have 2 rather large MP3 files (292MB) that I want to upload onto a forum.
Does anyone know of somewhere that would 'host' them for me?
I did find one, but it was taking ages for the files to upload, and then the site crashed.
How many downloads will it likely have mate.

Hi, I know one that will host it for a week.

Upload and email the link to yourself, then copy the url to this board. The file will be hosted for a week, unless someone presses the remove link on the page that was emailed to you.

That I don't know.. wouldn't think it would be that many.

I did see someone talking about that earlier, I will have a look at it.
If its only around the 10-20 mark I may be able to help going above that mate it gets a little expensive :)
Knowing the leechers on that forum it would probably be more than that.
But thanks for the offer though K...
Lycos do free file hosting, complete with its own FTP file transfer thing but as normal the tripod part of the site is down for maintenance.
I will have a look at that as well.. cheers Sarah.
Is Tripod like a build your own site thingy????
it is yes..... i have webspace, im trying to find out how much i have left as im not really into this type of things, i just use mine to store pics of the bunnies.
Whats in the file? seems big for an MP3?
46 tracks.....
Add I have about another 100 to upload as well. All will eventually be encoded so that they can be stored on a phone. Compressed down to 48kbps you would be able to get over 70 on a 128MB card.
Would Lycos hold that much?
not sure....its been a while since i used it, when its back up and running i will have a look....but lycos being lycos could be a while.
here is the link anyway....just keep checking.
