REPLY TO THIS POST 4 YOUR FREE CODES
All members are now entitled to free Nokia DCT4 remote unlock codes, courtesy of our goodselves.
In order to keep this free, all we ask is that you are a member and have made at least 5 posts in our forums, and to continue to receive free codes you must stay active each month helping other members and sharing your opinions.
In order to receive you free code please start a post with the following information:-
Phone Model (i.e 7250)
Phone Service Provider (i.e Vodafone)
IMEI Number (15 Digits)
Country
We will then reply to your post with the relevant codes.
We will provide a set of 7 codes, something like those below:-

Any one of the 7 codes will probably unlock your phone but you should normally use Code 7, if that does not work try code 1.
Now enter code 7 into your phone with NO sim card in!
To access button "+" you have to press twice "*" within less than a second.
To access "p" just press "*" three times within one second. To access "w" press "*" four times within one second.
If successful you will see the message 'Phone restriction off' (if not you will get a 'code error' message).
THAT'S IT, YOUR PHONE IS UNLOCKED! ITS THAT SIMPLE!!
Warning and Tips!!!
If the unlock code has been entered incorrectly more than 5 times, then upon entering in further codes the phone will display "cannot undo restriction" message instead of "code error". If you see the "cannot undo restriction" message then only a cable solution can help!
If the code does not work after a couple of tries:-
1) Double check you have entered the correct IMEI - press *#06# into the handset to display your IMEI. (many people type a digit in wrong)
2) Double check what network the handset is locked to and your network code.
3) Make sure your phone is not already unlocked! Sounds daft but some people just don't know what they are doing!
To check if your phone is locked, insert a foreign sim into the handset (i.e. a sim that the handset would not accept before). The phone should display something like "enter restriction code" - if you do not see this then your phone is not locked!
If your phone is already unlocked you will always get "code error", regardless if you enter the correct code or not!!!

No probs we've just had so many people on here with a single post looking for a free unlcoker. Take a few minutes to post around and I will do your codes shortly :)
I'm surfing the forums checking on the 5-time 'retry strike out' on unlocking the phone with codes.
My question is: is this 5 times in a row, or 5 times no matter of when (irrespective of time) ? Does the phone have an internal counter that keeps track of it, or is there any way of reseting the counter?

I believe that it is 5 times overall......if the code doesn't work the first couple of times then double check everything, correct IMEI number etc......
If you lock the phone with 5 incorrect entries the only way to unlock after this is via a cable to the phone.

I fell in love with this phone when I first saw it a few months back it blew anything else out of the water....the amount of features it comes with Bluetooth, MP3, great screen, camera etc.....I have seen the Nokia equivalent the 6600 but it doesn't have the mp3 player and the design to me looks a little bit too business like....

Like I've said before, you CAN get an MP3 player for the 6600, which is why it's back on my list...for now :)

The Nokia 3310 is NOT a DCT4 phone, it's a DCT3 phone which can only be unlocked using a cable and a PC (although I believe that some places claim to be able to remotely unlock them in a similar way).

THanks for this reply, Im sorry but Im new to the mobile fone unlocking and modification world and I assumed (wrongly) that this fone was DCT4 not DCT3. I did see 3300 nokia and figured that the 3315 was closely related!:)) another wrong assumptioN!:)))
I can get it unlocked by the network but it takes them 10 working days as its not a priority since the service is no longer going to be held by them. Pretty slack!!!
I also have a service cable on its way, and Ive already got some softwares which seem to be capable of removing the network and sim locks (and the progs so state that they can do it).
I just didnt want to wait around for the stupid company that its sim and network locked to to get around to doing it in their own good time!

Better to try it yourself than wait for the network to do it... plus they will probably charge you through the nose for it as well.

There's a program called logo manager (www.logomanager.co.uk) that you can download a free trial version of...
And I'm sure there are others around.
Best thing is to do a GOOGLE search or have a look in the YAHOO! groups.
http://www.gsmschwantz.com has a lot of nokia software but be careful what you mess with!

It sounds to me like the fone is either network locked or reported as stolen.....
Call Com8 on 1258888 and ask them what the message means! They will be able to tell you in minutes instead of waiting for replies from the lists.

Choice here.....
1/ Go to a phone shop and get them to unlock it.
2/ Get yourself a data cable and download some Nokia DCT3 unlocking software from the net and do it yourself (loads of it about).
3/ The Nokia 3310 can be remotely unlocked on some mobile phone forums (give them the IMEI number, network and phone model) but they will typically charge you a fiver for it. I did this for my sisters 3210 and it did work. We don't have this facility onboard.... yet!!
Best thing to do... number 2. It's not difficult as long as you follow the instructions.

The Nokia 3310 is NOT a DCT4 phone, it's a DCT3 phone which can only be unlocked using a cable and a PC (although I know some places can remotely unlock them in a similar way but it costs.).

I would have thoiught the same, you see 3300 and assume the 3310 is included. I will amend the descriptions to show that they can't be done remotely.

I've just found the site and have a question, I've got the unlocking software and have unlocked my phones but had to have a Sim Card IN, it wouldn't work with it out. (6310i and 8310)
Don't suppose you know why do you?

I have no idea. I unlocked my 6100 when I had it with the simcard in. I guess most people take it out in case the unlocking messes the card up.

it's because most phone require you to have the SIM card in the phone for it to work fully. If you've ever tried turning a phone on without a SIM card, it just says 'Insert sim card' and only lets you make calls to 999 or 112 etc.
For you to put in the unlock codes the phone has to be on and fully operation, meaning it has to be turned on completley, which it is'nt when it says 'Insert sim card' because only the basic parts of the phone (screen, keys and ariel) are turned on at that point.
This is all in theory tho :)

If you could pick up, (or nick), any old phone; unlock it and sell it on, the thiefs among us would have a ball. And seen as most sims' require us to speak with the service provider, its just one more obstacle.
Having said that, I unlocked my sisters 3210 (remotely) without the sim card in it and that worked. And I did my mates 8310 without the sim card in it as well.
Daedalus, you're right in what you say but in reality it doesn't make a blind bit of difference whether the sim is in the phone or not cos all the unlock does is remove the SP locks and you don't need the sim in the phone to do that. It's a software thing.

was going to say you will have trouble with this theres a lot of operator codes for this , the correct one i beleive for yours is 31038 see below
USA 3650 AT&T IMEI: 351102/50/0/****** 244 07
USA 3650 AT&T IMEI: 351102/50/1/****** 310 38
USA 3650 AT&T IMEI: 351102/50/2/****** 310 38
USA 3650 denotes that AT&T USA use different MCC+MNC codes depending on part of the IMEI number. the corresponding IMEI start code on your Nokia 3650 and that will be the correct code. Also advised to use unlocking code on line 1.

maybe the guy that needs the codes could define better which tarriff he is on, it`s a tough one but all the codes are listed in here

There's various free versions on the net, but the copy I have (which has added extras) is only available to certain members on another forum (which I am).
But the version thats free is adequate.
