Nokia 6820 Message Keyboard Problem

Hi, i have a nokia 6820 phone, one of my friends (not for long) was playing with it, suddenly the message keyboard, not all of it, just the part that flips over. stopped working. any one knows how to make it work again, some told me that there were special keys, i dont know. Help please :whacky:

Hhhhhmmm, it seems like your phone about had it unless 1 of the moderators can fix it.

Is it still undr warranty ? less than a year old, if so the manufactruer should fix under warranty.

ummm sorry to say we dont offer this service just advice, best thing to do is as K said and take it to a nokia repair center.

I am going to take it to nokia to reset it. or some place else.
but some told me that it isn't a mulfunction in the 6820, the owner can actually lock the part that flips over(opens) and not lock it as not mvoing, no, i mean making it's buttons not work, not respond.
like some pc keyboards can be locked same thing.

mmm interesting, I'm not familiar with how this phone works but can you explain - can you get to the keyboard OK is it that when you press the buttons nothing works - sound like you may simply have the keypad lock on - maybe try pressing Menu button then * in quick succession.

Thanks all, I found out the problem.
Nothing such as lock exists, the cable connected to the flip keyboard was disconnected.
Got it fixed for cheap.
