You mean an unlocking code.....thats what Motorola call the unlock code. Americans HAVE to be different :sleepy:

Cable unlock or with a MotoClip (or smartclip or summat). It's not something we at Mobilemods can do like we do for the Nokias.

it can be done by code, but they come from the motorola server, and are about 20 pounds at the moment.. i know one guy who does them, i can do them but it`s via an unlocking clip.... your local phone shop should do this, or any one who has the smart clip

The 550 is locked to t-Mob, what network did you want to use?

If its anything like my E398 (which it is), then most small unlocking places should be able to do it (note, NOT highstreet stores like The Link, CPW etc).

I will have to go find some nice little man at a market or something that will do it for me, my town has nothing good in!

Only asked cos the V547 is the O2 version. And was available for under £100 not that long ago.
