View Full Version : Nokia 7210 Purleeeeeeeeze Some1 Help me!!!!

Hey peeps,

(First I apologize if this is posted under the wrong bit - I'm new tho so I'm sure u will 4give me)

Anyway, I just got a new 7210 and I' having a mare! lol
I tried to download a ringtone thru GPRS and it wont play bck even tho it said it was successful??

Also, the main prob I'm having is with the pic messaging! I can received messages thru the media messaging bit, but they dont show ANY image at all. I just dont know wot I am doing wrong,.. its probably something really simple - lol

Hope someone can help as I am going insane

i had the problem with the picture messaging and all i had to do was phone my service provider and have the sim card GPRS and MMS enabled. I had already downloaded the correct GPRS settings but the sim card needed to be updated.
Try that and see if it works it worked for me.

fanx for your reply :) i only got the phone yesterday and rang t-mobile straight away (i was a bit excited lol)!!! They did the settings for me so i think they are all ok.

Someone told me it might be because of a cross networking thing. i am on t-mobile and my friend is on vodafone.

I just dont know lol

i had the same problem with my 6610, the media message was there but when i opened it all it kept saying was downloading picture please wait..........waited for ages and it wouldnt download but having the sim card upgraded worked straight away.
Glad its all ok now.

the ringtone thing is nothing to worry about, unless it's one you've paid for. lots of free sites have dud ringtones that dont always work.
as for the media messaging, it could be, as you said, because the other person is sending from Vodafone. Try getting someone on another network (other than Vodafone or T-Mobile) to send you a pic, to see if you can recieve it from them correctly.
