Today i bought the nokia 3200. i think its a fab idea, my old ones broke, its cheap and im skint! so all seemed to be well.

The deal was vodaphone pay as you go. This was all well until i took it out the box.
i bought this phone for asthetic reasons and i find it doesnt have the cover i wanted; instead an ugly read vodaphone thing. i also has a gross little vodaphone sign on the back.

so now ive hit a dilemma.should i-

--try to exchange the phone. i bought it at the link and virgin also do the phone. however the deal which makes it the correct price is only an online deal.
so do i go in and try to fight it out? (which i can do tomorrow)

or do i-

--keep the exisiting phone, bid on the transparent shell and cover which i believe (for all i know its not) to be the missing cover on ebay and unlock the phone which ive heard there have been problems with. if i try to take it back if its unlocked will they take it? i will have to wait for the cover and i may not be able to unlock it. (my current sim is o2)

input will be appreciated. its made me so unhappy!

The covers all are transparent!

Take the front and back covers off, and pull the vodafone pieces of card out and you'll have a transparent case!

Alternatively, take it back, because despite the price it truly is a poor phone to be blunt. If your just using it for calls and texts then its ok, but its reknowned for having loads of software faults, and dont get me started on the camera.

But each to their own, if your happy with it then so be it.

lol yeah its crap but im all about the asthetics of it. im poor so its rather a fab phone for me! the actual transparent cover has an ugly little vodaphone logo on it...ruins the whole ideal. im gona phone the link today and see what they can do for me.

You might be able to remove the Voda logo if you have some nail varnish remover.

It depends if the logo is on the plastic or in the plastic.

called the link they can do nothing. gits. the virgin phone is no longer on there site either.

its on the plastic so nail varnish remover looks like a great possibility. i just hope that the cover im bidding for is the one i want!

im so unenthused by all this and i just hope i can get this one unlocked or im completely buggered.

i think i might wait and see about the ebay cover as if it is the one i want ill find a way to deal with everything else.

be carefull when you call them 'gits'....

Anyway how long have you had it and why would'nt they do anything?

Their probably completely within their rights and policies.

We can unlock it for you in the unlocking section.

As for them not taking it back, you've only got 14 days depending on the network to take it back if your not happy, after that its yours.

Its a standard retailer practice and you would have had the same thing with any retailer.
