Tom Jones in playing live in Ponty park tonight, the tickets are going for £36.00 and there are going to be 30,000 in such a small place :(

Ponty town center was unbelievable earlier, the roads where closed off and security guards were throwing people out of the park.

All this hassle for a man who says he is so homesick and wants to come back to the green green grass of home....the man hasnt once played in Ponty since his career started all those years ago.

For any of you interested (not ) the whole concert is being shown next Tuesday night on ITV, so set your videos lol ;)

He is flying in by helicopter to Treforest, limo to the park and then vice versa....and then going home to LA to perform a charity concert over there.

I wouldnt have paid £3 to see him nevermind £30 odd quid....cant stand the man.

There's nothing at Trefforest is there except a big industrial park? Cos I remember getting lost there many years ago :(

Still the money he makes from tonight will pay for his big house in LA to have a new coat of paint lol

Wasn't me..unfortunately ;)

That was a good few years ago, when I first started driving.

Have offered to drive up there to pick stuff up though but the boss always says no.

Can you hear the racket from the park where you are Sarah?

No....i am three miles or so from Ponty park....did hear an helicopter pass over tho, dont know if it was Tom or not ;)

I will have a look at the tv proggy next week, i think hes playing in the cricket ground but dont know how they are going to get that amount of people in there. There is no seating, its all standing and a pint is costing £2.50, which is a lot for down here as they are normally around £1.30 a pint.

The thing that makes me laugh is that shamrock, the crappy bus service are charging £2.50 return from the station to the park...which is the grand distance of around 300 yards to walk lol.

look at him, he looks like hes been tangoed :)

He looks like he's been swinning in a pool of Saint Tropez :)

£2.50 a pint???? Thats cheaper than what I pay

And if it's only normally £1.30 a pint, I could have a good night up there for a fiver.

PS just seen the sponsors at the bottom of the page - the pop factory lol

Not exactly pop is it? Well, HE might be..he looks old enough to be a 'pop'

The pop factory is THE local place to be...believe it or not, sad innit? i dont know which i prefer, Tom or the tickets i won to see Brian Mc Fadden in Cardiff's St Davids hall ;) both best avoided me thinks :)

And that grinning poster of Tom is posted in every shop in ponty :(
